Four seasons

Experience Tramin at its best

Spring... Cycling, hiking through the Spring Valley, and experiencing the valley in its white splendor during the apple blossom season... Those seeking peace and wanting to witness nature’s awakening now have the perfect opportunity. You can even watch the vines grow — you’ll be amazed how fast they develop.

Summer... Swimming, pedal boating, and enjoying warm summer evenings at various events or barbecues outdoors. During the day, the lake is the main attraction, and in the evening everyone is outside, strolling through the streets or sitting on terraces...

Autumn... Harvest time, fresh fruit invites you to indulge, fully loaded tractors line the streets, and there is activity in all the fields. Enjoy hiking, cycling, and the colorful forests with wonderful panoramic views! The "Törggele" season begins. During this time of year, Kaltern shows itself at its best. Usually, the weather cooperates too!

Winter... the best time to relax in peace: a cozy apartment with an unrestricted view of the valley, walks in mostly mild weather, and an ideal starting point for cultural holidays and your ski safari.

Tramin and its surroundings

Tramin and its surroundings offer many opportunities for sports and leisure activities. From the pleasure hiker to the mountain marathon runner, from children splashing in the lake to triathletes, from casual cyclists—whether road bikes or mountain bikes—to those preparing for the racing season, everyone finds what they’re looking for around Lake Caldaro.

Depending on the season, we are happy to recommend what you can do here and what you definitely should see.

Surfers, sailors, and all water lovers will fully enjoy Lake Caldaro (the warmest bathing lake in the Alps), as well as the Traminer Lido (adventure pool) just 5 minutes away and the nearby Montiggler forest lakes.

Aromis is also an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours. One of the most adventurous hikes in the area is the popular Rastenbach Gorge trail in Kaltern, loved by both young and old.

Take excursions to the surrounding mountains (Mendel, Seiser Alm, Kastelruth, Ortler...) or visit the South Tyrolean Wine Museum in Kaltern and the Ötzi Museum in Bolzano.

Be enchanted by the apple blossoms in spring and walk through the Spring Valley near the Montiggler Lakes.

In Tramin and the surrounding area, you will never be bored. Venice is just 2.5 hours away, and Lake Garda can be reached in only 1 hour.
Every Wednesday in July and August, an evening stroll through Tramin takes place.
